Chartered Certified Accountants (CAT)
The CAT qualification
The certified accounting technician is a qualification issued by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) which is presently the largest and fastest growing Accounting body in the world.
The content of the syllabus will equip you with a sound base in accounting, finance and auditing. The CAT qualification offers international recognition. Your therefore have the opportunity to work anywhere in the world.
Studying the CAT qualification:
There is no minimum qualification for you to register for the CAT exams. Applicants are required to be at least 16 years of age or older. To study CAT, you need to register with ACCA UK with an initial registration form or online
Registration deadlines:
Exams are written twice a year: June and December
To sit for the June exams register before 31st December of the previous year.
To sit for the December exams register before 15th august of the same year
The advanced level exams are of equivalent standard to the first year of a university degree and offer a choice of options to suit your personal career aspirations.
Should you wish to pursue your career further, completion of the CAT schmemes allows you to move directly to the skills module of the ACCA professional qualification.

Intermediate level
3- Maintaining Financial Records (International)
4- Accounting for Cost
Advanced Level
5- Managing People and Systems
6- Drafting Financial Statements
7- Planning Control and Performance Management
Plus two options from:
8- Implementing Audit Procedures (International)
9- Preparing Taxation Computations (UK)
10- Managing Finanes
Students are required to complete 9 papers. It is possible to complete the syllabus in two exam sessions (ie one year) or three sessions (ie one and a half year)
